Aisha Jamila Hinds, an American actress best recognized for her appearances on the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her debut in 2003 she has demonstrated her versatility in acting by giving outstanding performances in television shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7, and Under the Dome. Anna's role in Assault on Precinct 13 was her first big break. It was however her portrayal of the feminist Fannie Louis Hamer from the biography film All the Way, which gave her the respect she was due as an actor. Hind received praise for her performance as Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that the series will continue for an additional season. Hind just wrapped shooting on the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters that will release around the middle of 2019. Her father Krishnaraj passed away in March of 2017 after a lengthy stint as a scientist in the Indian Army. Vrinda, her mother, is a homemaker. In 2006, she returned to Bollywood by starring in the hit movie Dhoom: 2 before releasing Provoked: The True Story (2006). In April 2007, she got married Abhishek Bachchan, a regular co-star as well as the child of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage that brought together two of India's most powerful people.
