Bernadette (born Bernadette lazzara(born 28 February 1948) Peters is a famous American artist, musician and writer of children's books of Ozone Park Queens New York. Over the course of her career for five decades her appearances have been in musicals and television as well as solo concerts as well as recorded recordings. She has received seven Tony Awards nominations, two of which she was awarded, and eight Drama Desk Awards. Grammy Awards were won for four Broadway casting albums, in which she performed. Peters began her career in the theatre in her early years, then as an actor of her teens in the 1960s as well as in films and TV in the 1970s. Her work was widely praised for her early work and for roles on The Muppet Show The Carol Burnett Show as well as in various TV shows and also for her roles in films such as Silent Movie The Jerk Pennies from Heaven and Annie. In the 80s, she went back to Broadway and for the next three decades, she was among the Broadway's most popular performers. Peters has recorded a number of solo album, cast albums as well as singles.
