Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor, popular for his roles in well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. Meloni discovered his passion for acting during his time in college and studied acting at The University of Colorado at Boulder. Though he's appeared in films as well as on TV, it is the character actors on smaller screens that have given him popularity. It is no surprise that his characters have been able to capture the attention of viewers by playing characters that are either one side of the law. His first project was a television show, however, he was later as a detective with the NYPD. Numerous times, he was nominated for the prestigious Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. The striking blue eyes that have been said to make him look handsome. They've assisted in portray rough characters in a charismatic manner. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
